This space in Montreat has been called home for over a 100 years by generations of families.  Daily life as well as renovation after renovation had buried the foundational beauty of this home. Balsm Built was asked to unearth, preserve and highlight details that lie below while simultaneously bringing modern form and function to this space.

This beautiful brick wall was found under 100 year old plaster. The brick was carefully exposed and restored.

This walnut beam was constructed to conceal a structural support beam while adding to the overall look of the space.
