The Pure & Proper

An All Day Eatery

Balsam Built is proud to present The Pure & Proper An All Day Eatery.

The Pure Oil Station was built in the 1940's in Black Mountain, NC.  Over 80 years old, this treasured historic building has played a role of considerable importance in the lives of generations within the community.

Unfortunately, over time this unique building fell into extensive disrepair. Desiring to maintain and honor the historical significance of the building, The Pure & Proper sought the skill and experience of Balsam Built to undertake this substantial project. The goal was to not only revitalize this community icon but also bring an elegant and modern touch to this historic space.

We succeeded.
